Team Members

Emily Trittschuh, PhD is a clinical geriatric neuropsychologist.  Her clinical care, research, and education is focused on the full continuum of cognitive aging – from neurogenerative disease to healthy brain aging across all decades.  She has been with the VA Puget Sound GRECC since 2008 and currently serves as the Associate Director for Education and Evaluation in the GRECC.  She is the hub site director for both the GRECC Connect and Geriatric Scholars programs.

Katherine Ritchey, DO, MPH is the Associate Director for Clinical Innovation at VISN 20 Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC), located at VA Puget Sound.  Her work has revolved around developing high quality care processes and providing superior care to the aging population.  She developed a fall prevention group program (MOVing FREEly) which incorporates evidence based, risk reducing exercises, education, and behaviors targeting those at highest risk of injury.  She is also working with national experts to develop a strategic plan for incorporating Patient Care Priorities (PPC) into a multitude of VA clinical settings, specializing in implementation in the CLC, rural CBOC primary care clinics and the new electronic health record system, CERNER.

Amy Thomas, MD is a geriatric specialist with extensive training in geriatrics.  She provides clinical work to support rural Veterans through telehealth services.

Erica Martinez, PMP is an experienced project manager and provides outreach, education, and support to rural CBOCs in Washington.

Debby Tsuang, MD serves as the GRECC Director at VA Puget Sound.
